Cary graduated with a degree in history from the University of California Santa Cruz and L'Institut d'études Politiques (IEP) de Grenoble. He has travelled extensively through Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America, where he studied and photographed the aftermath of neo-colonialism. He began crewing on music videos and commercials in Los Angeles four years ago and is now completing an M.F.A. in Directing at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Besides Victoria Para Chino, he directed the short, Kofi (2003), Winner Best Short, Bronx Independent Film Festival. He often works as a Director/DP on commercials and music videos while collaborating with a strong circle of talented friends.
