A group of thieves sets up a plan to steal millions from a bank in London. Entering the bank by spectacularly smashing the rear of the van through the doors, one of the gang is badly injured. Still, they leap into action. The injured member changes the direction of their plan. Is he now a liability? The police, unsuccessfully trying to negotiate, are forced to patiently play a waiting game. Finally mounting an assault on the bank, they find only empty vaults and the robbers gone. But this is not the end of the story!
