Biografia Autore
Lluis Quilez Born in Barcelona in 1978, Lluís Quílez graduated in film direction at the ESCAC (Higher Cinema and Audiovisual School of Catalonia). As assistant director he worked on several 35mm short. He also collaborated in music videos and commercials, which led him to work as second assistant director for Ventura Pons in “El Gran Gato” (The Great Gato). In 2004, he debuted as producer and director in the field of “Making Of” for the feature film “Amor Idiota” (Idiot Love), directed by Ventura Pons and produced by Els Films de la Rambla S.L.“El Siguiente” (2004, 16’, 35mm colour) was his first short 35mm movie as director and scriptwriter and has obtained 17 international awards, among these its nomination for the Méliès d’Or. At present, Lluis Quílez combines his directing career in commercials along with teaching, delivering lectures on film direction at the University.
