David Drach, son of French movie director Michel Drach and actress Marie-Josč Nat, starred in the critically acclaimed 1974 Les violins du bal. After studying film a at NYU he went on to directing a number of shorts both in the States and France. He has developed and written many screenplays with his writing partner and co-producer Norbert Norman. They are partners in Port Royal Films, created in Paris in 1959 by David's father.
