Sara Corrigan
Sara Corrigan was born in Colorado in 1967 and then settled with her family in Pennsylvania. Her parents got her an 8mm film camera in 1984 which she used to document her entire senior year of high school. Assembling the footage together with a splicer and glue, this film would be her first editing project. Her love of film making continued upon acceptance into Ithaca College where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Film Production. Sara then moved to New York City where she began her career as an assistant editor in commercials. She left the commercial field to pursue feature editing and started working for Barbra Streisand, Nora Ephron and Woody Allen, among others. She worked also on Brian De Palma's Carlito's Way and Tim Robbins’s Dead Man Walking. In 2004 Sara edited her first feature film, Following Bliss. She then started a collaboration with director Jeff Lipsky and edits his movies Flannel Pajamas (2006), Once More With Feeling (2009), starring Linda Fiorentino and Chazz Palminteri, and the most recent release Twelve Thirty in 2010. She also edited the award-winning short, Haber based on the life of Fritz Haber, the father of chemical warfare. Gun Hill Road, directed by Rashaad Ernesto Green, starring Esai Morales and Judy Reyes, marks Sara's fifth feature as Editor.
