La domanda di partecipazione ai MIFF Awards 13ª edizione è ora disponibile on-line sul sito www.miff.it alla voce CONCORSO 2013, dove sono evidenziati anche i diversi termini di presentazione appartenenti alla varie categorie.
Novità di questa edizione sono i Fashion Film sezione che apre la porta ai Fashion designer, che ha l’obiettivo di presentare le collezioni degli stilisti partecipanti con i filmati della categoria MIFF Style – Take 1. Un concorso audiovisivo dal DNA Cinematografico che darà la possibilità a discrezione del vincitore di presentare i suoi outfit alla cerimonia di premiazione dei Cavalli di Leonardo il 14 maggio, 2013.

Entry to the13th MIFF Awards edition is now open!
The application form to the MIFF Awards 2013 is now available on-line at www.miff.it. Under the Call for Entries area, it is divided into different deadlines for different contest categories. A bright new entry is included in this new edition, the Fashion Videos Awards (MIFF Style - Take 1) aimed at up-and-coming fashion designers, permitting them to introduce their collections via short video films. The Fashion Video contest perfectly takes root in the MIFF Awards audiovisual world as the winner will be given the opportunity to launch his or her collection during the Leonardo’s Horse ceremony on May 14, 2013. |

Brillante serata sabato 27 ottobre per il MIFF Best all’Istituto Italiano di Cultura a Los Angeles: quest’anno il Premio alla Carriera MIFF Awards 2012 è stato assegnato al 2 volte premio Oscar Pietro Scalia. Il pluripremiato talento del montaggio ha per l’occasione inaugurato l’uscita dai confini italiani dell’autorevole premio leonardesco del cinema alla carriera. L’evento è stato onorato dalla presenza di Martha De Laurentiis -moglie del grande produttore scomparso Dino ora CEO della Dino De Laurentiis Productions- che ha consegnato il Cavallo di Leonardo a Scalia, davanti al Console Generale Giuseppe Perrone e al direttore dell'IIC Alberto Di Mauro.
Alla serata hanno partecipato l’attore e amico di Scalia, Tomas Arana, (Gladiator, Limitless, The Bourne Supremacy), il Presidente di Made in Milan International Film Society Andrea Galante e i registi di Ice Scream, Roberto De Feo e Vito Palumbo con il produttore Christian Halsey Solomon, gia’ produttore di American Psycho.

An outstanding MIFF Best Night was had at the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles on October 27th, with Pietro Scalia given the MIFF Awards for Life Achievement honoring his career of work. This was the first time the award was presented in Los Angeles. The renown Italian talent in video editing was gladly chosen as the first recipient of the award presented outside Italy. The event was honored by the presence of Martha De Laurentiis, wife of the late great producer Dino and CEO of the Dino De Laurentiis Productions Company. She presented the precious Leonardo’s Horse Award to the Italian movie editing talent in the presence of the Italian Consul Giuseppe Perrone and IIC Director Alberto Di Mauro. The evening was attended by many industry figures including Tomas Arana (Gladiator, Limitless, The Bourne Supremacy), Ice Scream directors Roberto De Feo and Vito Palumbo, their producer Christian Halsey Solomon (whose credits include American Psycho) and Made in Milan International Film Society President Andrea Galante.
