L’anteprima e l’incontro: critica e business dei film indipendenti. Possibile aggirare lo star system?

Saranno un distributore e un critico a parlare di Matching Jack, film vincitore di 3 Cavalli al MIFF 2011, tra cui Miglior Film. Giovedì 13 settembre, dopo l’anteprima del film che verrà presentato alle ore 20:30 al Teatro del Borgo in Brera, parleranno Roberto Proia, Amm. Deleg. di Notorious, la società che distribuirà in sala Matching Jack in Italia, e Pino Farinotti, critico e giornalista, co-fondatore di MyMovies e prevalentemente noto per il suo dizionario di tutti i film usciti nelle sale italiane, che il 10 maggio del 2011 consegnò il Cavallo di Leonardo alla regista Nadia Tass, a Milano per il festival. Sarà Andrea Galante presidente della Film Society, direttore/fondatore del MIFF - Film Festival Internazionale di Milano a moderare il dibattito.
 

Roberto Proia formatosi in MTV, Nexo e Moviemax, Roberto Proia è Amministratore Delegato di Notorious Pictures, nuova casa di distribuzione e di produzione cinematografica creata da affermati professionisti del settore; tra gli altri Giuseppe Davalli (ex Mikado e Moviemax) alla Direzione Commerciale e da Irene Tomio (ex Moviemax) alla Direzione Marketing.

Pino Farinotti è titolare dell’omonimo dizionario, punto fermo della critica. E’ docente e romanziere. Ha firmato besteller tradotti nel mondo, che hanno ottenuto premi importanti (Bancarella, San Vidal, Maria Cristina fra gli altri). Nel 2003 il Presidente della Repubblica lo ha nominato “Benemerito della cultura” uno dei più alti riconoscimenti del Paese.

A Q/A with distributor, Roberto Proia, CEO of Notorious, and Pino Farinotti, a respected film critic and journalist, will follow the screening of Matching Jack. The title, Winner of three Leonardo's Horse Awards, including The Best Film MIFF 2011, will be screened at Borgo Theater in Brera on Thursday, September 13th, 8:30PM. Notorious is the company that will theatrically release the film in Italy and Pino Farinotti had attended MIFF Awards Ceremony on May 10th 2011 to present Leonardo's Horse Award to the movie director Nadia Tass. Andrea Galante - president of the Film Society, director and founder of Milan International Film Festival will be hosting the discussion.
 

Roberto Proia whose career history includes positions at MTV, Nexo and Moviemax, is now heading the management of Notorious, a branded new film distribution and production company, founded by veteran professionals, such as Giuseppe Davalli (formerly of Mikado and Moviemax) for the Sales Management and Irene Tomio (formerly of Moviemax) for the Marketing division.

Pino Farinotti Professor Pino Farinotti co-founder of MyMovies and widely celebrated for his dictionary of all films released in the Italian cinemas is the author of the homonym dictionary, a widely-respected reference source for film criticism, and other various bestselling novels that are translated all over the world. He has been honored with many acclaim and awards, among them Bancarella, San Vidal and Maria Cristina. In 2003 the President of the Italian Republic named him " Benemerito della Cultura," one of the highest renowned recognition of the country.
