Stile Tarantino e con lo sponsor del Sundance! L’Osservatorio del cinema a Milano decolla con Delta Air Lines.

Sarà Delta Air Lines, partner storico del Sundance, uno degli sponsor del l’Osservatorio MIFF Awards, rassegna che la Film Society milanese presenta a settembre con l’obiettivo di esplorare il percorso dei film “griffati” con il Cavallo di Leonardo, e scoprire il cammino dei loro autori dopo l’assegnazione della “statuetta Oscar milanese”.
 
Una compagine di 14 film ognuno vincitore nella propria categoria verranno riproposti al Teatro del Borgo – Centro Internazionale di Brera, in Via Formentini 10, nei primi weekend d’autunno, dal 13 al 30 settembre. Una località importante per Milano e per l’arte, la zona storica degli artisti e delle gallerie d’arte più stimate. “Un quartiere caratteristico e centrale, confacente alla divulgazione dell’arte cinematografica per il suo target di tendenza - sottolinea il presidente di Made in Milan IFS e direttore dei MIFF Awards, Andrea Galante - …con la classica immagine dei film spaghetti western che omaggia Tarantino, uno dei registi simbolo del cinema indipendente che anni fa venne lanciato proprio dal Sundance, l’Osservatorio, non solo vuole comunicare con il quartiere di Brera, sinonimo di arte, di cultura milanese, ma vuole soprattutto indagare sulla nostra stessa programmazione. Dove sono i filmmaker vincitori a un anno e mezzo dal trionfo al MIFF? E i loro film, che percorso hanno avuto dopo il festival? Sono stati idonei i nostri investimenti?”
 
Giovedì 13 inaugurazione ad inviti del film Matching Jack vincitore di 3 premi tra cui Miglior Film 2011. Il calendario delle proiezioni è disponibile online ed è possibile iscriversi alla Film Society diventando membro fin da subito, con una semplice procedura alla voce Osservatorio su miff.it o direttamente al Teatro del Borgo prima delle proiezioni.

Delta Air Lines, a long-time partner of Sundance, will be one of the sponsors of MIFF Awards Observatory, an event that will be presented by the Film Society in Milan this September. MIFF Awards Observatory is an event designed to focus on the films "branded" with Leonardo's Horse Award in previous festival editions, and to highlight the career paths of the MIFF veteran filmmakers behind it.
 
A stunning collection of fourteen Leonardo Horse winner films will be featured on the weekend (September 13-30) at the Teatro del Borgo - situated at the International Center of Brera, Via Formentini 10. A key location of Milanese art scene, this area of the city is booming with artists and art galleries. "A neighborhood ideal for independent film events for the young and the sophisticated target market" the President of Made in Milan IFS and director of MIFF Awards, Andrea Galante, states, "the event designed with “spaghetti western” style fonts evoke an homage to director Quentin Tarantino, a symbol of independent cinema whose career was launched by Sundance. The Observatory will further enrich the district of Brera, a trendsetting area booming with art and culture in Milan and also will follow up with all the great films and filmmakers of its past editions:  What are the Leonardo Horse winners after their triumphant experience at MIFF?"
 
Thursday the 13th of September, the Observatory will open with the Austrailian film Matching Jack,  winner of three awards in 2011, including Best Film.
