Dopo le due serate d'apertura al Palazzo Lombardia, l'appuntamento con i MIFF Awards si sposta nel cuore di Milano al Teatro del Borgo in Brera. Sabato 12 e domenica 13 maggio si terranno le due serate dedicate ai cortometraggi italiani e stranieri. Lunedì 14 alle ore 20.00 il festival proseguirà con una grande anteprima italiana, un film fuori concorso che i MIFF Awards hanno voluto dedicare al pubblico milanese: Margin Call. Nominata agli Oscar e vincitrice degli Spirit Awards, questa pellicola, scritta e diretta da J.C. Chandor, vanta un cast stellare con attori del calibro di Kevin Spacey, Jeremy Irons, Demi Moore, Paul Bettany e Stanley Tucci. Ambientato nel mondo dell'alta finanza Margin Call è un thriller che coinvolge le alte sfere di una grande banca d'investimenti nell'arco delle drammatiche 24 ore che precedono la crisi finanziaria del 2008. In anteprima assoluta ai MIFF Awards, il film uscirà ufficialmente nelle sale il 18 maggio e sarà distribuito da 01 Distribution.

After two opening weeks at Palazzo Lombardia, MIFF Awards moves to the heart of Milan, at Teatro del Borgo in Brera. Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th, two soirées will be dedicated to Italian and International Shorts. Monday 14th, at 8 p.m., the festival will continue with a special Italian premiere, out of contest, that MIFF Awards are proud to dedicate to the audience of Milan: Margin Call. Candidate to the Academy Awards and winner of the Spirit Awards, this movie, written and directed by J.C.Chandor, counts on an amazing cast with stars as Spacey, Jeremy Irons, Demi Moore, Paul Bettany e Stanley Tucci. Set in the world of finance, Margin Call is a thriller revolving around the top managers of a large investment bank in the span of 24 hours preceding the 2008 financial crisis. Premiering at MIFF Awards, the movie will officially be in theatres on the 18th of May, distributed by 01 Distribution.

Made in Milan International Film Society, organizing MIFF Awards, is glad to promote sustainable mobility, joining the initiative "Theatre, Cinema, Concerts...reduced tickets on bike" by Università degli Studi di Milano, with great reductions during the whole festival. All viewers that will reach Teatro del Borgo by bike, with the padlock's key and/or BikeMI subscription, will be offered a special ticket at 5 Euros each and/or 8 Euros a couple. Furthermore, MIFF Awards will reserve them 10 subscriptions for all the festival's screenings at the special price of 12 Euros instead of 22 (upon booking), and a free ticket for the first 10 bikers.
