"Seven Days in Utopia" narra la storia di Luke, un giovane golfista, la cui vita sembra indirizzata verso il successo. Ma dopo aver subito una pubblica umiliazione sul green decide di mollare tutto. Il suo desiderio di evasione lo porterà nella cittadina di Utopia, nel Texas, dove conoscerà Johnny Crowford, un eccentrico proprietario di ranch, interpretato dal premio Oscar Robert Duvall.

Ambientato in un'unica notte al "Theater Row", uno dei più famosi luoghi di ritrovo di Broadway. Nel cast la bellissima Melinda McGraw, già vista nel pluripremiato serial televisivo "Mad Men" e Jesse Plemons, a breve nelle sale con il film "Battleship".

Sergio è un regista spagnolo sulla via del fallimento che decide di lasciare tutto e intraprendere un viaggio nel nord del Cile alla ricerca dell'ispirazione per riuscire a realizzare la sceneggiatura di un film western. Ma la sua ossessione lo porterà ben presto a mettere in discussione la sua intera esistenza nel momento in cui, a causa di un misunderstanding, verrà scambiato per un'altra persona: Diego. Sergio verrà trascinato in un vortice di violenza che lo renderà il protagonista stesso del racconto che è così desideroso di scrivere.

Sergio is a Spanish filmmaker on the verge of failure who decides to abandon everything and start a journey in the north of Chile, looking for the inspiration to realize a script for a western movie. But his obsession will soon bring him to renegotiate his whole life altogether when he will be mistaken for another person: Diego. Sergio will be dragged into a tunnel of violence which will turn him into the protagonist of the tale he is so eager to write.
