Quest'anno il Cavallo di Leonardo conquista i cieli grazie a Up Tv On Board, la nuova televisione di bordo Alitalia. I contenuti dei MIFF Awards verranno trasmessi sul canale tematico "Cinema & Entertainment", con servizi interamente dedicati al festival milanese e ai suoi retroscena. Grazie agli schermi LCD individuali sui nuovi aeromobili della flotta di Airbus A320, sui voli a corto e medio raggio, i passeggeri viaggeranno in compagnia dei candidati alla statuetta Oscar meneghina e di tutti i protagonisti della 12ª edizione di MIFF Awards. |
The MIFF on air on Up Tv On Board - Alitalia's television
This year will see Leonardo's Horse conquering the sky with Up Tv On Board, the new Alitalia's on board television. MIFF Awards events will be transmitted on the dedicated channel "Cinema & Entertainment", with special reports focused on the Festival and its backstage. Thanks to the personal LCD screens on the new airplanes of the A320 Airbus fleet, on short and medium-range flights, passengers will travel together with the candidates to the Milanese Oscar and all the protagonists of this 12th MIFF Awards edition. |

Il MIFF è lieto di annunciare la partnership con la nuova rivista online sul mondo del cinema e della critica Film4Life. La redazione di questo portale, nato per stimolare l'interesse verso il panorama cinematografico italiano e internazionale, seguirà passo dopo passo l'evolversi dei MIFF Awards 2012. Questa nuova collaborazione nasce con lo scopo di arricchire l'area news all'interno del sito del Festival e ci affiancherà nella nostra missione primaria: celebrare e promuovere i migliori film indipendenti provenienti da tutto il mondo. |

The MIFF is honoured to announce the partnership with the new online magazine on the world of cinema and criticism: Film4Life. The editorial office of this portal, born to foster attention around the Italian and international cinematographic arena, will follow step-by-step the 2012 MIFF Awards. A new companion, thus, for our primary goal: to celebrate and promote independent cinema together with enhancing the news area on the Festival website.

Annunciati i film e i documentari candidati al Cavallo di Leonardo. Iniziano gli screening per i membri dell'Accademia Milanese.
Il comitato direttivo di Made in Milan International Film Society (MIMIFS) ha annunciato le nomination per le categorie dei film e dei documentari che quest'anno si contenderanno il Cavallo di Leonardo. Ventuno titoli (13 film e 8 documentari) che, in questa 12° edizione del MIFF Awards, saranno i portavoce del cinema indipendente internazionale di qualità. Come vuole la tradizione, tra i candidati, film e documentari provenienti dai più importanti festival dell'ambiente indipendente americano, il Sundance e il Tribeca. Tra gli attori candidati grandi nomi come Robert Duvall, Laura Morante e Orlando Bloom. Questa settimana saranno proiettati: venerdì 30 marzo "The Cat", il documentario "Le perle di ritorno" e "The Good Doctor" con Orlando Bloom; domenica 1° aprile "Sassy Pants" e "Young Europe". Le proiezioni si terranno alla Sala Cinema di Manifattura Tabacchi, chiuse al pubblico ed esclusivamente per i membri della Film Society, e proseguiranno fino al 23 aprile in base al calendario presente sul sito, mentre il pubblico potrà visionare i film vincitori dal 10 al 19 maggio a Milano e tra di essi, decretare il Miglior Film.

Feature films and documentaries competing for the Leonardo's Horse have been announced. Starting screenings for MIMIFS' members.
MIMIFS' directing committee has announced the nominations for feature films and documentaries which will be competing for the Leonardo's Horse. 21 titles (13 features and 8 documentaries) that, in this twelfth edition of the MIFF Awards, will be ambassadors of first-rate international independent cinema. As tradition demands, among the candidates, the public will find works from the most important festivals of the American independent arena as the Sundance and the Tribeca. Among the actors, famous names as Robert Duvall, Laura Morante and Orlando Bloom.
This week will present: "The Cat", the documentary "Le perle di ritorno" and "The Good Doctor" with Orlando Bloom on Friday 30th; "Sassy Pants" e "Young Europe" on Sunday 1st. Screenings will be held at Sala Cinema in Manifattura Tabacchi and only Film Society's members will be allowed; shows will continue until the 23rd of April following the schedule on the website while the general public will be able to see winner movies from the 10th to the 19th of May in Milan and choose among them the Best Film.
