Peter Falk
Con rammarico divulghiamo la scomparsa di Peter Falk (New York, 16 settembre 1927), il celebre attore diventato famoso in tutto il mondo per aver impersonato il "Tenente Colombo", dallo sguardo svagato e l'impermeabile spiegazzato, un personaggio molto caro a varie generazioni di telespettatori. Grazie al tenente, Falk aveva portato a casa quattro Emmy e un Golden Globe ma il cinema gli aveva regalato, nel 61, l'indimenticabile ruolo di simpatico malavitoso al fianco del boss superstizioso Glenn Ford in "Angeli con la pistola", ottenendo la nomination all'Oscar come attore non protagonista. Sono inoltre da ricordare "Sindacato assassini" del 1962 e la sua memorabile performance in "Il cielo sopra Berlino" di Wim Wenders del 1987, in cui l'attore interpretò se stesso. Al MIFF 2006, con "Ricomincio da me", di Raymond De Felitta, Falk ha vinto il Cavallo di Leonardo come Miglior Attore. |

Peter Falk
We sadly announce the death of Peter Falk (New York, September 16, 1927), the actor famous around the world for portraying Lieutenant "Columbo"; dreamy-eyed and rumpled raincoat, this is a character deeply rooted in the hearts of whole generations of viewers. Thanks to the lieutenant, Falk had brought home four Emmys and a Golden Globe. Cinema also had a big part in his career, giving him, in 1961, the Oscar nomination as best supporting actor for his interpretation as a sympathetic gangster alongside Glenn Ford in "Pocketful of Miracles". Remembered, too, is the film "Murder Inc." of 1962 and his unforgettable role in "Wings of Desire" by Wim Wenders of 1987, in which the actor played himself. At MIFF 2006, with "Thing About My Folks" by Raymond De Felitta, Falk won the Leonardo's Horse as Best Actor..
